The Bloore Trophy
An exquisite example of the
silversmith's art in the form of a silver cup with delicate filigree
work, made by Joseph Jackson of Dublin in 1776 and presented to the Club
in 1956 by Rex and Olive Bloor (Rex was a founder member, Honorary
Secretary and Treasurer for a number of years, is a past Commodore
and an Honorary Life Member). The cup is awarded for the highest
number of points gained in qualifying events during the year.

The John Bennett Trophy
The fist cup presented to
the Club by it's fist Commodore, the late John Bennett, in 1953,
it is awarded to the member gaining the second highest number of points.

The Jervis Tonge WilsonTrophy
A cup presented in 1954 by
Mrs E.M. Wilson in memory of her late husband, the former landlord of the
White House Inn at Kegworth, the birthplace of the Club. Awarded
to the member gaining the third highest number of points.
4.
The Waiora Trophy
One of a pair of cups (the
other is the Commodore's Trophy) presented by Rex Bloore on his retirement
from active office within the Club. Awarded for the most interesting
account of a waterways journey "boat log".
5.
The Commodore's Trophy
Awarded for an account of
the most meritorious journey, inland or by sea.
6.
The Skipper Heathcote Trophy
Originally presented to the
late "Skipper" Heathcote and passed on to the Club on his death, this cup
is awarded for the best entry in Soar Points.
7.
The Warner Trophy
Sheffield Plate tray presented
by Arthur Warner in 1961 for competition amongst younger members- to be awarded
to the highest placed club member in the teenage competition.
8.
The Youth Team Trophy
A mounted ship's bell presented
by our late President Bert Hughes, which is kept in the Clubhouse.
The trophy has been superseded by the presentation of a silver cup for
the best entry in Soar Points by a junior member.
9.
The Ladies Cup
Awarded to the SBC member
attaining the highest place in the Ladies Competition held at the Annual
Rally.
10.
The Rose Bowl
Donated to the Club by the
R.N.L.I., from 2003 this will be presented to the member attaining the highest placing
in the Main Boat Handling Competition held at the Club's Annual Rally.
11.
The Sandra Brown Trophy
A mounted silver candelabra
- this is presented to the winners of the Inter-Club Competition
(usually a boat handling competition) held at the Club's Annual Rally.
12.
The Hager Trophy
In the form of a small narrow boat, the trophy has been kindly
presented to the Club by Mr & Mrs I Willetts in 2002. To be awarded
annually to the young member, under 13 years of age, who has accrued the most
points for involvement at Club events during the year. |
